Isn't She Lovely

After two days of cruising south from St Augustine, we stopped at Titusville City Marina. Our water pump had a small leak that Dave wanted to investigate. I was kneeling in the cockpit peering into the cabin, watching Dave as he worked. An older gentleman from across the dock kept straining his neck to look at me. Each time I looked up, there he was. I was becoming uncomfortable by his attention. Later, Dave and I met the gentleman on the dock. He asked if our boat was an Alberg. When Dave said Mystic is indeed an Alberg 35 he responded, "I thought so! I was checking her out, beautiful boat!"

Ok, so he was looking at our boat...that was humbling!

best boat projects! A simple but

Glad you're on the water again. Did you make your wind scoop? We sure want one. We are in Wrightsville Beach after an eventful morning. Had an impeller break and overheat the engine. That was after we had to be towed off a sand bar by Tow Boat US (our first use of them). That was after Tom went diving to loose the stern anchor wrapped around both props. Some days are just like that, I guess. But...nobody got hurt, damage is minimal and we're safely secured in a marina in advance of the coming storm tomorrow.

@ Paula Vail, oh my and we thought WE had a rough day! So glad all turned out well for you! We made an 8 hour, 54 mile run to Vero in a 20 mph headwind to hide from the storms. It was ugly! But we are here for a few days and can recover! How quickly we forget the tough days, eh! Safe travels dear friends!

Out of curiosity, is Mystic the original name of your Albert 35?

@Unknown, Mystic is the ORIGINAL name of our Alberg 35. She was named Tractatus when we purchased her in 2012. Since I am from the Mystic, CT area, it seemed appropriate to change the name back.
