This was our first visit to Ender's Island. We enjoyed it so much we will definitely return. There is still time before fall takes away the dahlia blooms. We highly recommend a visit!

Ender's Island Stonington Connecticut
Ender's Island is a beautiful 11 acre Island just off of Mason's Island in Mystic, Connecticut. It is a religious retreat that offers programming for individuals and couples. You have to drive through a gated community to get there, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the gardens; whether or not they are participating in a program.
My Aunt Sis had visited the gardens a few weeks ago and shared gorgeous photos of the dahlias with me. We were excited to see them. With the hope that they were still blooming, Dave and I brought my mom there today. We took our time enjoying the walk and the 360 degree ocean view, delighted to find the dahlias, still in full bloom, in an array of colors and sizes. Mother nature's artistic perfection is breathtaking. As we make our way through each garden, our hearts fill with a sense of peace in this special place, perfect for reflection.
