St. Augustine Porch Festival

The 2nd Annual St. Augustine Porch Festival was held in November. This unique musical event is part of the week-long Lincolnville Festival. Lincolnville is a historic neighborhood established in St. Augustine by the Freedmen (former slaves) after the Civil War in 1866. The area is an example of 'old Florida' with bungalow type homes that are painted in shades of pastels. It is a community rich in culture and deep in history.

During the Festival, local bands perform on eight porch stages throughout the Lincolnville neighborhood. Each stage is host to six bands showcasing music from diverse genres. We spent all afternoon meandering throughout the neighborhood sites with Scott and Rhonda Joiner, making new friends, trying delicious barbeque recipes and dancing in the street. We had a wonderful time; ending our day at Dog Rose Brewing Co., home of Stage #7.
