BT5K ~ Raising Money for a BreakThrough

Dave and I have joined a team of friends and family raising money for the American Brain Tumor Association. We are walking in the Twin Cities BT5K with Team Laurie's Legions in support of our friend Laurie Kumerow who is fighting Glioblastoma Multiforme. Laurie was diagnosed with this agressive form of brain tumor last October. She's been through so much this year, but her spirit and joy for life have not wavered.

Our family has a personal connection to the ABTA. We received information and support from them when our daughter, Brielle, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 1992 at the tender age of four. Raising funds is our way of giving back so other families may benefit from the same support we received. In addition, we hope research will bring answers about the causes of brain tumors. We also wish for a cure to be found; all of this, in our lifetime!

We have already raised $345 through generous tax-deductible donations both big and small. The BT5K walk is in less than two weeks. Please consider helping us reach or surpass our goal of raising $500! You can use the link below to find our personal fundraising page.
