Thomas Edison Winter Estate Tour

We went on a self-guided tour of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Ft. Myers, Florida after hearing several great recommendations of this historic site. We spent a few hours meandering through the grounds, peaking into the homes and examining the many plants and trees from around the world. This was a GREAT experience and we learned so much about Thomas Edison, including that he held 1,093 U.S. patents in his name. He invented many devices that changed life worldwide including the phonograph, light bulb, and motion picture camera. The cost to tour is $25.00 per person. We are glad that we splurged on this experience.
